Roles

President

Presides over meetings, club coordination, organize committees,organize budget. 

Represents club at Rotary and community functions, attends committee meetings as required

President Elect

Presides over meetings in absence of the president

Prepares self to become president

During meetings takes care of birthday and anniversary announcements

Past President

Serves as a member of the board

Ensures that the club follows the club constitution and By-Laws

Secretary

Ensures records of the club are recorded

Submits all necessary reports to the Board, the District and Rotary International

Treasurer

Has custody of all funds, accounting annually for them to the club or upon demand by the Board or the President according to the club bylaws

Assistant Treasurer


Seargent-at-Arms

To assist the Treasurer with all the functions of being Treasurer and prepare to act in the absence of the Treasurer

Prepare himself to be the Treasurer in the future

To set up the hall organizes and run the fines, happy bucks and 50 /50 draw and to maintain rotary protocols requested by the club president.

To keep an archive off all club activities.

Attendance

To encourage and record attendance at all rotary meetings, including club and interclub, district and international conferences and to keep all members advised on attendance requirements.

Classification

To oversee the classification of all current members and keep them current with their business activities.

Club Bulletin

To publish bi-weekly bulletin updating members on the meeting and director meeting notes, upcoming program and events can be on future website.

Fellowship activities

To promote fellowship and friendship among the members by promoting participation in club activities reporting birthdays and anniversaries sending cards /flowers arranging for greeters and invocations at meetings.

Financial review

To do an internal audit of all club finances at least one fiscal year and report to the club at the annual meeting.

Membership Committee

  • To consider all proposals for member ship and thoroughly investigate the character, business, social and community standing of all persons proposed for membership.
  • To develop ways to increase membership and retain new members.
  • To inform prospective members about the privileges and responsibilities of rotary club membership.
  • To oversee the orientation of new members during their first year in the club.

Public Relations Committee

  • To increase public awareness of club activities through a variety of communication means.
  • To ensure the collection and distribution of old Rotarian magazines to professional. Education and Government waiting rooms.

Rotary Foundation Committee

  • To educate our club and community about the rotary foundation and to promote donations to the Rotary Foundation for both the Annual Programs Fund and the Permanent Fund.
  • To monitor all gifts to the Rotary Foundation.
  • To ensure proper Foundation recognition is given to club members and Rotary supporters to maintain our 100% Paul Harris standing.
  • To continue supporting the eradication of Polio.
  • To continually seek ways and means of helping Rotary clubs in developing countries to do their community service work.
  • To educate our club as a “Future Vision” pilot district.

Service Project Committee

  • To work with local, national and international organizations in the establishment and delivery of worthwhile service projects, this will aid both individuals and communities alike.
  • To establish fun raising projects too financially support service projects at the local, national and international levels.
  • To support and encourage the vocational and leadership development of youth through Ridgetown District High School student awards, RYLA, Adventure in citizenship, Group Study Exchange and Youth Exchange programs.
